Diabet i is a program for calculating the insulin injection units (IU) according to the individual needs of the diabetic.
Every diabetic knows that the amount of insulin for a meal depends on very individual factors.
In addition to the amount of carbohydrates in the meal to be eaten, these factors are the time of day at which the meal should be taken, the physical condition of the diabetic, physical activity planned and any acute illness.
In addition, the amounts to be injected can vary significantly over longer periods of time.
It is not easy to determine the amount of insulin in such a way that the carbohydrate values remain within the desired "limits".Diabet i helps with this.
In addition to experience, Diabet i provides the necessary individual database for the amount of insulin to be injected with every meal.Diabet i was developed from day-to-day practice and experience as a diabetic and has been used very successfully for 20 years.
The carbohydrate values are within the intended limits, outliers in the carbohydrate values have been very, very rare for years.
The developer is a very healthy diabetic without any -usually existing- side effects.Diabet i achieves these individual values by simply tracking the amount of insulin with the PLUS and MINUS buttons, saving the new values immediately without any problems and increasing or reducing the amount of insulin individually at the touch of a button during sporting activity or illness.
Individually for you for each of your meals you have saved.The main screen of Diabet i shows the amount of insulin (IU) to be injected in the upper area and the scroll-able meals list in the lower area.
The two bottom image buttons of the main screen support the basic setup of the system and the creation or correction of meals.After selecting the meal - green bar - the associated insulin value to be taken for this meal is displayed in the upper framed area.
At the same time, the date when the value was set up / corrected, the carbohydrates of the meal in grams (down right of the framed area) and the total weight of the meal (up right) are also displayed in grams.
The date (down left) is intended to provide information on how long the meal was unchanged taken and whether the value may need to be corrected.Corrections can be made with the plus or minus buttons - here in 0.5 steps.
Then the Save Button gets active and the new value could be saved in the Database, if necessary.The post-meal exercise or current-illness buttons decrease or increase the amount of insulin.
This individual values for correction are saved with the setup of every meal and can of course be adjusted to individual needs at any time (Update).
The basic screen thus has all the functions and shows all data which are required for daily insulin calculation and insulin intake.The meal functions, like New Meal, are initiated with the right bottom button at the main screen.
The respective data are always entered in the upper framed area of the respective screen.
This data includes name, weight of total carbohydrates in the meal, weight of carbohydrates per 100 g, personal factors for time of day, exercise and illness, and the total weight of the meal.In order to update the data of a meal, this data is also displayed in the framed area of the respective screen.
This also applies to deleting a meal.
The respective database functions are executed with the save button in the framed area (right button).To customize Diabet is setup parameters, use the left button at the bottom of the main screen.
With this setup button one of the 6 languages of Diabet i can be selected, the amount of insulin per insulin unit and the increment using the plus/minus buttons.
The languages which are supported by Diabet I are in the moment English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
